Farmhouse Charm in the City

This neat apartment in Surfers Paradise boasted outstanding views but was showing its age with dated fixtures and no clear sense of style.  The kitchen update was foremost on the list of priorities. Keeping the original structure intact, we were able to refurbish the kitchen with new 2pac shaker doors and a custom-made open shelf above the fridge to replace the wine rack.  We also extended the island bench on one side by adding additional drawer sets.  For an injection of warmth and personality we installed a pair of turned countertop supports, refaced the island with criss-crossed panels and topped it off with a gleaming white stone work surface.

In the ensuite, the existing bath was removed and we created two new custom vanities with stone tops, finished to match the kitchen island cabinetry. A new large mirror above the vanity was placed to reflect the amazing view and enlarge the space. Meanwhile in the bathroom, we simply refaced the existing vanity and added a new vanity top and mirror.

Together with the exquisite encaustic floor tiles and new timber flooring, the carefully curated cabinetry design and furnishings ooze rustic farmhouse charm that you just can’t help but feel at home in.
